how do we do it?
We cannot do it without you! We collect sponsorships from local businesses to pay for a raffle of our choice. We then work with our parts sponsors to get parts donated so we can create a custom one-of-a-kind bike and side by side. Over the last 9 years, we have given away four Harley-Davidson Road Glides, four Street Glides and one Road King. Two years ago we decided to take it one step further to try and draw in a new crowd of people. We now give away a custom H-D motorcycle but we gave away a custom Can-Am side by side. With off-road vehicles becoming so popular we figured this would just be another way to help raise money for the kids! We will unveil the new bike and side by side for the 2024 season on Saturday, January 13th at our Winter Sucks Party.
We start working on the next giveaway bike and side by side almost immediately after we draw the winners for that years units. We have to create these custom units with flow and contrast. It takes more than people think which is why we are asking for your help. Whether it’s parts you would like to donate or sponsorship dollars. We need all the help we can get!
Once the bike and the side by side are unveiled we sell an unlimited amount of tickets to the public for $10.00 a ticket. By having the bike, side by side, customization and labor time donated, we can say “100% of the $10.00 ticket goes directly to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital.”
